A guy named Laird bought a painting that looked similar to this from me.
I introduced myself to Laird as Dorian Tourmaline, because he seemed like the kind of guy who’d trust a man with a gemstone surname. I told him the painting was a “portal of truth.” Laird, who made his money suing family members over inheritance disputes, called it “life changing.” He cried. Loudly. I didn't offer him a tissue. I didn't want to disrupt the performance.
Now the eye hangs in his meditation temple. Every morning, Laird sits naked in front of it whispering, “Show me, me. I'm ready to receive.”

He is absolutely not healed, but he’s very enthusiastic about the journey. Which, in wellness culture, is the closest thing anyone ever gets to a cure.
