She’s heard one side of a twenty year estrangement and decided what’s been missing is her.

Fifteen minutes later she's calling the dad.

After all of this, she turns to me and says she's actually pretty reserved.

She means it, she means it in the same way you say you're a vegetarian because you only eat meat socially.

See, the brain is a fantastic little propaganda machine that doesn't report what happened, just what happened to you.

I guess we're all self-portraits painted by the person with the least objective view.
